Ermagerd Hollister.
Yes I said Hollister. Smells like the best parts of high school, when I was tan, toned, and wore the cutest and smallest jean shorts Hollister had to offer.
We all know that smell. The cool, dark hangout place that I am sure our mothers dreaded taking us to, and our fathers even more. Hollister smelled like our future, the twenties that seemed so far away and so foreign, little did we know. It was the smell of staying out late on a school night, stealing first kisses with dreamy boys, and experimenting with our first sips of alcohol (sorry mom.) It is a clothing store that I still sneak into from time to time to catch a whiff that allows me to surrender my memories of my blissful unassuming teenage years. P.f.'s Teakwood & Tobacco is SO this. It reminds me of crushing on Heath Ledger and Ryan Atwood and Seth Cohen of The O.C. (Seth and Summer 4ever!)
It smells smoldery, sexy, warm, immature (in the best way possible!) As I am burning this candle I am listening to Dashboard Confessionals (lol) and daydreaming about the years in the past, wondering how many squats it would take to get the ass I had at 16 to fit into those shorts, and wtf did I use instead of coconut oil before???
Sense memory. Its a weird, wonderful thing. This candle is me at 16, and I love it so. Do yourself a favor 90's babes- go online, now, buy this candle.
